The main sector of Rivian customers is located generally in the United States, where they have a majority of plants and offices, as well as provide work places to more than 11000 workers.
Between 2015 and 2018, Rivian acquired multiple plants from large automotive corporations, including Mitsubishi, and established its own factories across the United States. The initial logo of Rivian featured a circular badge divided into several parts, with a blue contour and a gradient green figure at the center. A triangle with rounded corners was at the top, and the minimalistic nameplate was written in uppercase sans-serif letters at the bottom, separated by a gradient silver filling.
In 2018, Rivian unveiled a new logo featuring a large rhombus split into two triangles by gaps at the left and right corners. Inside this rhombus was a smaller rhombus, also divided by gaps at the top and bottom corners, with the brand name written below.
The nameplate uses capitalized, semibold sans-serif characters with wide gaps between them. The letters 'r' and 'a' have small cuts in their horizontal bars, resembling the initial script used in the 2009 logo, though the earlier letters were narrower.
